The
Ocoee Rafting staff and guides make every reasonable effort
to assure you and your party a safe rafting experience. Each
guide is trained and certified in First Aid and CPR. However,
the sport of whitewater rafting has inherent risks and dangers
that are beyond human control and must be assumed by the participant.
We do not assume liability for personal injuries or death.
All participants and guests must agree to travel at their
own risk and are required to sign a waiver of liability/assumption
of risk document prior to the trip. For the safety of all,
the use of alcohol or drugs before or during river trips is
strictly prohibited. We will remove anyone under the influence
of these substances from the trip and no refund will be given.
The Tennessee State Parks department requires all rafters
on the Ocoee to be at least 12 years of age.

Other things you will need to know
Ocoee Rafting will provide all necessary equipment including
self-bailing rafts. During warm weather, wear bathing suits
or quick-dry shorts and a t-shirt, and river sandals or old
tennis shoes. For cool weather, wear wool or synthetic clothes.
We do not recommend cotton jeans or sweats. We have splash
jackets available for rainy or cold weather. For your convenience,
we have clean, newly remodeled showers and changing facilities.
The only items you will need is a dry change of clothes, a
towel and shower items. After the trip you may want to grill
out, play horseshoes and volleyball or just hang out with
us. We want your whitewater rafting experience to be very
pleasant from the time you arrive at our outpost to the time
you leave. All guests will need to be at our outpost ½
hour before the trip. It is important not to be late. We have
numerous trips scheduled each day and trips must run at their
scheduled time. Being late could result in missing your trip
and we regret we cannot give refunds for missed trips!
Recap of things to know:
